Back in March, the Park Slope Veterinary Center (639 4th Avenue) got a call about a mama cat giving birth in a warehouse, and the warehouse wanted them out. Thankfully the folks at the vet office got there in time, because they found kittens who were hypothermic and not breathing, and a mother who was so malnourished and dehydrated that she wasn’t lactating.

But that was then, and thanks to their help, plus assistance from VERG and a surrogate kitty mom, both the kittens and the mom — who they named Maggie Moo — turned out just fine!

“Her transformation has been remarkable,” they wrote on Facebook. “Surprisingly, after all the attention she received on Facebook during her intake, she hasn’t found a home now that she is healthy again. Please help us place this lucky girl and give her the second chance she deserves.”

She already has a few fans. “I met her a few weeks ago, she’s an affectionate, sweet girl who loves to talk,” a woman wrote in the comments.

If you’d like to meet Maggie Moo and potentially add her to your family, contact the Park Slope Veterinary Center at 718-369-7387 for more info.
