Looks like another of the vacancies on 7th Avenue is about to be filled — with gigantic burritos.

A Chipotle is coming to the space at 185 7th Avenue, between 1st and 2nd Streets, where the Met supermarket closed this past fall. Though a rep for the company could not confirm or deny it for us, the owner of the building told DNAinfo that the Mexican food chain has leased the space.

Back in 2010, there was a rumor Chipotle would be opening a location on 7th Avenue (in the space that is now Burger Village), but that turned out to not be true.

Until it opens (and, perhaps, after) if you’re looking for Mexican eats in the area, nearby we’ve got Haab, Rachel’s, Calexico, Fatty Daddy, and the new Varrio 458, plus Las Rosas Grill coming soon up 7th Ave, among others.
