Tacuma Bradley’s Unity Band
When: Friday, January 13 at 10pm.
Where:1008 Cortelyou Road between Coney Island Avenue and Stratford Road.
What: Hear “sophisticated groove” fusing jazz, hip-hop, and world music at Bar Chord.
How Much: Free show, but don’t forget to buy drinks at the bar.

Lacy Rose, Colin Fullerton, & Alaina J. Ferris at The Owl
When: Friday, January 13 at 8pm (doors at 7:30).
Where: The Owl Music Parlor, 497 Rogers Avenue between Midwood and Maple Streets.
What: Listen to the sweet sounds of classically trained vocalist, composer, and performer Lacy Rose; guitarist Colin Fullerton; and songwriter Alaina J. Ferris.
How Much: $10 suggested donation.

Where: Baptist Church of The Redeemer, 1921 Cortelyou Road near Ocean Avenue
What: Get the scoop on 421a in Flatbush, reserve a spot on FTC’s bus to the Women’s March on Washington, and attend a Racial Justice and Housing workshop led by Janis Rosheuvel and Shanice Brim.

Salsa Latin Hustle Dance Party
When: Saturday, January 14 from 8pm to 1:30am
Where: Dance Fever Studios, 159 20th Street near 4th Avenue
What: Travel northwest for a Salsa, Bachata, Cha cha, Merengue, and Hustle dance party, featuring a free class at 8pm and a party at 9pm.
How much: Free

Barbara’s Food Truck Dedication Disco
When: Saturday, January 14 from 6pm to 11pm.
Where: The Maple Street School, 626 Flatbush Avenue.
What: Come out for this disco & food truck party celebrating teacher Barbara Culbreath. Music by DJ Sure Shot, open bar, small plates and hors d’oeurvres by Jeremy Abarno, plus a professional dance instructor to teach the crowd some moves. Childcare is available for this event from 5:30-9:30, purchase with your ticket.

Where: Aviator Sports and Events Center, 3159 Flatbush Avenue
What: New and returning camp families, come to Camp for a day to experience the magic of Aviator Sports Summer Day Camp at our Open House on Sunday, January 15. Families will meet with Camp Directors and Camp Staff, experience our wonderful facilities, try delicious camp meals, and talk to other camp families.
