61st Precinct Community Council Meeting Cancelled

The snow has already claimed its first victim. See the following from the 61st Precinct Community Council:

DUE TO THE WINTER STORM WARNING PUT INTO EFFECT FOR LATE TUESDAY AND EARLY WEDNSDAY THE JANUARY COMMUNITY COUNCIL MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

The meeting will be rescheduled, but a new date or location has not been selected.

They add:

BUY NECESSARY ITEMS BEFORE THE STORM SUCH AS GROCERIES, SHOVELS,ICE MELT.
SHOVEL SMART! TAKE BREAKS AND DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS TO AVOID DEHYDRATION AND MUSCLE STRAINS. CHECK IN ON ELDERLY NEIGHBORS TO MAKE SURE THEY ARE OK.
CALL 911 FOR POLICE OR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES ONLY. ALL OTHER REQUESTS PLEASE UTILIZE THE 311 SYSTEM.
DURING THE HEIGHT OF THE STORM PLEASE USE CAUTION AND COMMON SENSE IN DRIVING YOUR PRIVATE VEHICLE. MAKE SURE CARS ARE NOT BLOCKING THE ROADWAYS IMPEDING THE CLEANUP EFFORT.
WHEN UTILIZING SPACE HEATERS, BE AWARE OF ITS PLACEMENT IN RELATION TO FLAMMABLE MATERIALS. STOVES OR RANGES SHOULD NOT BE LEFT ON ORUNATTENDED FOR HEATING PURPOSES.
