501 Coney Island Avenue For Rent

We noticed a few weeks ago that Top Kitchen & Tile had closed at 501 Coney Island Avenue (between Albemarle Road and Turner Place), but didn’t have a chance to write about it until now. When we walked by this morning, a For Rent sign was still posted at the address.

From what we remember, the Top Kitchen & Tile space was pretty large. Other tenants on the block include a health clinic, a small Mexican restaurant/deli, a sign and awning shop, a DIY pest control store, and a computer repair place.

So, what would be a good addition to that diverse set of businesses? Maybe a sit down lunch spot for PS/IS 338K construction workers, or teachers and administration once the school opens?
