The police are seeking public assistance locating a 17-year-old male who was reported missing on Monday, according to the DCPI.

The minor, Jiening Cao of Gravesend, lives in a NYCHA development in the area.

Cao was last seen leaving his home at 6 a.m. on Monday, October 17. According to the police, he was heading to Flushing, Queens to meet up with friends.

He is described as being 6 feet tall and 125lbs with a thin build, light complexion, brown eyes, and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black sports jacket, black jeans, a gray shirt, black sneakers, and black reading glasses. He has a tattoo of a dragon on his right hand.

Chinese news site Toutiao ABC notes that a 17-year-old Chinese-born young man named Jiening Cao was reported to have been involved in a tax scheme involving the fraudulent payment and rebate of close to 3,000 yuan at a Sunset Park check cashing spot on September 29.
