An 18-Year-Old Went Missing In Georgetown Yesterday

Joshua Spooner, 18, went missing yesterday in the Georgetown neighborhood near Bergen Beach, according to police.

Spooner was last seen when he left his residence at 1321 E 69 St, between Avenue M and Avenue N, at around 3:30pm yesterday, October 20. The police said they considered him missing so quickly because Spooner has a history of running away from home.

He’s described as being about 5’3″ tall, 120 pounds, with a thin build, brown eyes, thick eyebrows, small black afro, and braces, according to police.

He was last seen wearing gray pants, gray sneakers and a gray hoodie sweatshirt with stick figure cartoons on the front and “We the People” printed on the back. The rear lower portion of the sweatshirt is blue.

Anyone with information in regards to the missing person is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).  The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

[Update October 21, 1:15pm]: Spooner has been located safe and sound, according to police.
